I have a feeling that I'll start a collection of these blushes in the future! Soooo in love<3 Currently own the shades in "Life's A Peach" (orange-y coral hue) and "Suede" (nude light brown with pink undertones) they're very matte, pigmented yet easy to blend! "Suede" is perfect for medium-deep skin like mine, leaves a flushed look effect sans bronzer. Sleek MakeUp never disappoint, value for money!
I'd pick a plastic-bristles mascara over any other types mainly because it doesn't clump your lashes-- and I'm very particular of that (because spider-y lashes…? Yikes! No for me) They're Real Mascara definitely does the job of volumizing and lengthening the lashes, without any clumps. The formula isn't waterproof but I personally don't have any problems with that. I'd say the only drawback to this product is the price. Its quite pricey! I've repurchased this twice before, so yeah. It's definitely worthy to try out, if you're a first timer.
M.A.C Brow Set in CLEAR --- I have a natural thick brows, and this is THE product to keep them in place! Sometimes I'll use this on its own, I love how it puts the hair in place and made each strand visibly stand out. This may seem a bit weird but I love the smell of the gel too LOL it's fresh and it kinda felt like my brows just got out from the saloon :p I can't find any drawbacks to this product yet. If I were to fill in my brows with only powder, applying one coat on top gives a very sleek effect, almost like you'd just wear a liquid-based brow product. One tube costs about MYR74, but it goes a long way. Value for money!
Having a combination skin (normal but oily on certain parts of the day) this foundation does gave the luminous effect on me, considering I've heard mixed reviews about this product on dry skin. I love the light consistency, and it's super buildable, giving almost medium-to-full-coverage. I wouldn't say its my HG foundation yet, just because I still need to blot/touch up with loose powder (especially on my forehead, it tends to shine like crazy after a good 4-6 hours of makeup). One bottle goes a long way, IMO because one pump's sufficient for a "second skin" kinda finish. I'd most probably still purchase this in the future.
A must-have in every girl's makeup bag! Perfect-travel size, you can bring it everywhere. Highly pigmented and definitely crease resistant.
You can never get enough of MUG Eye shadows! They're ultra matte & easy to blend. Current fav is the shade "Bitten" -- gorgeous maroon hue with brown undertone. Its perfect for warm eye looks, my personal go-to transition shade.
I love the fact that I can pack on this super-glittery baked pigments without the help of MAC's Fix Plus spray! I bought the "Space Cowboy" shade, its a gorgeous champagne colour that goes with any base. I find it still has that pretty frosty effect when applied dry and does not fall out as much as other pigments would. The packaging is very neat, too!
HG brow product! Very pigmented, works well with an angled brush. Whenever I use this on my brows, I don't really need to set them with a clear brow gel because of the quick-drying formula. Stays on the whole day. The tube packaging is convenient very easy to carry around size-wise! Can't find any drawbacks to this product yet, just major love <3
I don't normally wear BB Cream mainly because I can never find a shade that matches my skin tone. However, I have used this on a client with sensitive-dry skin and it worked quite well as a base! It definitely brightens, moisturizes and evens out the skin. Very light coverage, you'd still need concealer to cover any redness/scars. This product is safe for everyday use as it's a perfect blend of makeup & skincare. Love the amount of SPF it offers! Perfect for our weather.
As a makeup artist, I swear by this as my go-to eye shadow base, especially if I'm working with eye pigments. It can also be used on it's own for a quick one-color eye shadow--its creamy, very easy to blend. I've yet to try all shades but my faves are Black Bean, Pure Gold and Yoghurt. Value for money!
My go-to eyeliner! Especially if you're working the cat-eye liner, the tip does the work magically. It definitely washes out if you have an oily lid but once you've set it with a matte black eye shadow, it'll last the whole day! Will I repurchase it? YES.
If you're not ready to splurge on Urban Decay's Naked pallet, then this is good one to start practicing. The general guide on pairing the shimmer and matte shades at the back of the pallet is quite informative & direct especially for beginners. I find the matte shadows are slightly powdery, but the rest are quite okay. With the help of a good eye shadow base & a spritz of M.A.C Fix+ spray, the eye shadows will definitely pop out on your lids. All in all, I'd say its a decent pallet and easy to work with!
M.A.C's Mineralize Blush is my go-to product whenever I'm going for a dewy skin kinda look! Personally it's a one-step blush and highlighter combo, very time-efficient especially when I'm in a rush to get ready. My favorite is definitely Warm Soul, it's a pink hue with gold-ish shimmer as a finish. It really complements my olive skin-tone. The amount of product in one pot goes a long way, too!
